Campaign Creative
How to make campaign creative that works for iris
Iris lets you manually input any copy that you'd like for your tweets as long as it can fit into a tweet. If you're making content or creative beforehand you'll need to make it on the Twitter Ads Platform.
Twitter has a guide to familiarising yourself with Promoted Only tweets and how to use the ads platform to create them.

Tweet Limitations for Iris

Auto Responses and Broadcast Tweets

In order to make sure your campaign is a success, there are some limitations that Twitter Marketing Automation App imposes to make sure your campaign is a success:
    Tweet Length: If you want to import a tweet to send as an auto-response or broadcast, it cannot be any longer than 263 characters - this includes URLs this is so we can include the user's handle in the broadcast or auto-response;
    Media: Twitter does not count media towards the character count;
    Twitter Cards: Twitter does not count Image, Video or Poll cards towards the character count;
Your best way to validate this is to create the dark tweet and import it (Covered in our Triggers and Rulesets section) to confirm it's compatible with Iris if you have any concerns.

Images, Gifs, Videos & Cards

Because of how media distribution works on Twitter, to use media in your campaigns you need to have already created a tweet with the media in it.
The best place to do this is the Ads platform as above. Build your creative in Twitter Media studio and then use the ads platform to create promoted only tweets with the content in them.
Please make sure your tweet does not include a handle at the beginning of it but is just the copy you would expect to see after the user's handle.
So if your autoresponse campaign you expect to see:
@proxima_io thanks for opting in! We'll send you a reminder when the event is about to go live. Reply #stop to opt out
Create your dark posts with the copy
thanks for opting in! We'll send you a reminder when the event is about to go live. Reply #stop to opt out

Twitter Broadcasts

If your reminder involves sharing a Twitter Broadcast, you should create your broadcast as a draft first with everything except the Twitter Broadcast/Event link. Once you have the event link you can paste it into the broadcast.
Once you've added the link, save it as a draft and confirm the link works by clicking the link in the preview. If you're happy with that result you can then distribute the tweet.

Hashtag & Emoji Campaigns

Most Hashtag and Emoji campaigns are powered by Twitter Conversation Cards. If you're unfamiliar with Twitter Conversational Cards, Twitter's documentation is very helpful.
All Twitter Marketing Automation Hashtag or Emoji campaigns work off @mention mechanics, so to make sure your Conversational Card works you'll need to do the following:

Hashtag Campaigns

Tweet Prompt Copy: Make sure the tweet prompt copy includes the Hashtag and the @mention of your brand - without both of those the campaign WILL NOT WORK
If you're setting up multiple hashtags/triggers, make sure that each tweet prompt copy includes the hashtag that matches the hashtag it was configured for and includes an @mention of the handle you're using for the campaign.
i.e your tweet prompt copy should look like
Whoa I'm checking out #CoolNewProduct with @brand - what do you think!

Hashtag & Emoji Campaigns

Tweet Prompt Copy: Make sure the tweet prompt copy includes the Hashtag and the @mention of your brand and the emoji - without ALL THREE of those, the campaign WILL NOT WORK
If you're setting up multiple hashtags/triggers & emoji, make sure that each tweet prompt copy includes the hashtag that matches the hashtag it was configured for and includes an @mention of the handle you're using for the campaign as well as the appropriate emoji.
i.e your tweet prompt copy should look like
Whoa check out @brand for #CoolNewProduct they are absolutely 🔥 - what do you think!
